Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Gal 6:2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Gal 6:3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
There are many aspects of the word “love,” the natural man loves his children differently than he loves his spouse, and the same goes for how differently he loves a friend he calls a ‘best friend,’ compared to someone he calls a friend at work. But oddly enough, the natural man also ‘loves to hate,’ he ‘looks forward’ to the opportunity to ‘speak evil’ upon those whom he does not like. And whether it is the opposite sports team, co-workers, neighbors, and even our family, the man ‘loves’ let people know how they have made us feel, and we can’t wait, and ‘love’ to give someone ‘a piece of our minds.’ But we who are in Christ are beseeched to “think” differently about how we operate upon love with the people of this world. The love of God is ‘selfless,’ and this is also the ‘will,’ the ‘way,’ and the ‘life’ of Christ as well. This is also called “the Law of Christ.”
Gal 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
Gal 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Gal 5:7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
Therefore, ‘fulfilling’ the Law of Christ is operating upon His life, His will, and His way, this is what a ‘law’ of someone consists of. And the “Law of Christ” is a selfless ‘life,’ ‘way,’ and ‘will’ of the “son” who desires to be ‘like’ his Father in godliness. This selfless love identity is our ensample to be given unto others, this is “charity,” an act of their selfless love, this is how the Father and Son sacrificed for us. We too ought to ‘bear the burdens’ of others. And it is them that “are Spiritual,” that “think” with the “mind of Christ,” he knows what is “the Law of Christ.” And the Spiritual minded Son/Daughter will desire to be in the ‘likeness’ of the Father and Son toward one another. But the only ‘way’ to get this accomplished in Christ, is by following the verses above.
Gal 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Gal 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Gal 5:15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
Furthermore, it is by “faith which worketh by love,” and that means ‘our faith’ going to work “by love.” Our faith as Sons and Daughters ought to ‘work’ by selfless love, this is what is being taught here in Galatians chapter 5. And the Son will “obey the truth,” he has a Spiritual mind, his “faith worketh by love.” We have been “called” by “love” to “serve one another. And these are also selfless words of charity; “serve,” bear the infirmities of the weak,” and “please his neighbour for his good.” But this is the “Law of Christ” working in our faith by love unto others. And notice the verses below; those who are the “strong,” they are also “Spiritual,” they see the selfless ensample and likeness of Christ, and that the “weak” in the faith have infirmities and have need for our “love” of faith.
Rom 15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
Rom 15:2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
Rom 15:3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
Wherefore, we see the exhortation doctrine given by Paul to them who are “strong” in the faith, and then he says; “for even Christ pleased not Himself.” Paul exhorts them who are strong BY the ‘life of Christ’ as a godly ensample, Paul knows that the strong in the faith will desire to “fulfil the Law of Christ.” And the strong in the faith would see Christ’s ‘life,’ His ‘will,’ and His ‘way,’ and he too would not want to please himself, but “please his neighbour for his good to edification.” This is the ‘life’ that the Apostle Paul lived as well, he too fulfilled the “Law of Christ,” Paul displayed this love throughout his ministry, and notice what he says in 2nd Corinthians chapter 4:5, “for we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.” Paul’s love was not as ‘a one-way street,’ even though Paul would display love to the Father and Son, Paul also gave charity unto the Saints who had not shown love unto him. This is “the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,” it is unmerited grace and charity unto the Saints regardless the circumstances.
Eph 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Finally, those who “are Spiritual” will desire to operate upon this “power,” this is the selfless Power of our Father and the Son towards us, and we have the ‘privilege’ to “fulfil” the “Law of Christ” by our faith which “worketh by love.” We too can allow the love of Christ to dwell in our hearts by faith, this is what the verses above teaches the Saints about this “power” that we have the opportunity to operate upon. Timothy also displayed charity unto the Saints, and Paul knew that Timothy would “naturally care” for the state of the brethren. Their ‘state’ was Timothy’s to “bear,” his desire was to “care” for those Saints, but not because he was commanded to do so, or felt obliged to do so; but being “likeminded” concerning their “state” of faith, they both “naturally” loved these Saints. The power of the “Law of Christ” worked effectually within them both, and it is by His “Power that worketh in us” that we too can operate upon their selfless ensample unto one another as we ‘bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the Law of Christ.’
Php 2:19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
Php 2:20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
Php 2:21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.
