On this glorious Christmas Eve in the Year of our Lord 2024, we at Supply of Grace offer you our entire collection of TOTALLY EPIC Christmas articles. Enjoy! PTL!

The Light on the Tree (Josh Edwards)
“Christ, then, is the light of the world, and true it is that they that follow him shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. But take, for a moment, time to consider that this True Light was slain and hanged on a tree. This was done by those wicked hands that had been reproved by His light, and forthwith had devised their evil plan to serve the power of darkness and their father, the devil. Though it was through ignorance they did it, having been again confronted with their rejection of Him by the ministry of the Holy Ghost in Acts 1-7, the builders reaffirmed their sin and rejected the Stone, setting themselves in the position as His sworn foes.”
The Delightful Willingness of Christ (Josh Strelecki)
“Here we find the willingness of Christ in view of His Father’s will – “Lo, I come to do thy will, O God” (Heb. 10:7). He is willing. He is willing to come knowing the blood of bulls and goats His Father finds no pleasure in. He is willing to come knowing His Father is pleased with His sacrifice for sins. He is willing to take on the body prepared of the Father “and took upon Him the form a servant” (Php. 2:7).”
Unto Us a Child is Born (Josh Strelecki)
“The depth of His condescension to such mean, low estate declares His glory. The Creator being made. The omnipresent held in Mary’s womb. The Lord of glory, dweller of the heights of heaven’s courts, born in the “little” town of Bethlehem. The possessor of heaven and earth with all the fulness thereof, yet no room for Him in the inn. The Son of man made a little lower than the angels, furthermore rested in the feeding trough for animals, those creatures not made in the image of God. The Captain of the heavenly host worshipped by lowly shepherds. Christ born, made of a woman, but why?”
When was Jesus Born? (Joel Hayes)
“So you look at our pretty Jewish chart. Compare it to ours. Give yourself a window of at least 30 days because of the possibility of a “pregnant year.” We know that Elisabeth conceived 6 months before Mary, and Jesus was born 9 months later, which becomes simple math. 6 months plus 9 months equals 15 months from the time Elisabeth conceived until the time Jesus was born.”
How was Jesus Born? (Joel Hayes)
“The promise that God would accomplish this amazing incarnation goes all the way back to the fall in the garden and Gen 3:15 in which the Lord said to the serpent “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” That was a prophecy of pure grace. As soon as man fell into sin, a remedy was promised and a hope was given, although the Lord makes it clear that the coming redeemer would win a victory over the serpent while He Himself would suffer as well. The bigger point is that all of humanity would be saved by Eve’s child-bearing, that is, by the promised seed who shall descend directly from her. From her seed shall come the deliverer of fallen man out of the power of Satan.”
Who Were the Wise Men? (Joel Hayes)
“…the Parthian government had a king and under him were two councils – the nobles and the magi. They were actually called the magi. All the Parthian videos and articles talk about the nobles and the magi. The magi were wise men in the same vein as Pharoah’s wise men and Nebuchadnezzar’s wise men. The Parthian king’s wise men perfectly fit the textbook definition of magos. The king’s wise men were made up of magicians, astrologers, soothsayers – all manner of spiritual hucksters in the east.”
The Magnificat of Mary (Joel Hayes)
“All the lines of this amazing doxology of praise are truly Mary’s thoughts. This was Mary’s mind. This was Mary’s heart. These were Mary’s feelings. The fact that this Magnificat is so breathtaking speaks to Mary’s extraordinary spiritual maturity at such a young age. But that’s not to say that she was this perfect being as the Catholics make her out to be with the immaculate conception, trying to claim that from the moment of her conception Mary was by God’s grace kept free from all sin. That’s nonsense.”
Kindness to the Crazy Family at Christmastime (Joel Hayes)
“The kindness of David de-escalated the tension between his house and Saul’s. The kindness brought unity and love, and the result was that rather than having to deal with rebellions, David earned their loyalty and they showed kindness in return. Kindness will also have an affect on people – how they view you and the God you’re supposed to represent.”
J.C. O’HAIR’S CHRISTMAS POEM
The Christmas season is again at hand,
With thoughts of Christ in every land;
The Christmas message again we’ll hear,
The songs of Christ Who brought good cheer;
The Lord of glory, God’s gift of love,
Who left His home in heaven above.
We’ll sing and tell the Saviour’s birth,
How He dwelt with men on earth.
Redemption’s story, God’s own plan,
The Lord Himself in form of man;
Yes, lower than the angels made,
In Bethlehem’s manger Christ was laid;
The virgin’s Son, the King Divine,
In David’s house the royal line;
Conceived as was no other child;
The Seed of woman, undefiled.
God’s ancient prophets, holy men,
Foretold Christ’s work by mouth and pen.
Christ came these Scriptures to fulfill,
He came to do His Father’s will.
He left His heavenly home on high;
He came on earth to serve and die.
His mission was to seek and save:
He suffered much; Himself He gave.
On Calvary’s cross the Saviour died,
By wicked men was crucified,
But God foreknew this awful crime:
It was His own appointed time.
The death of Christ was by God’s grace
That He might save the human race;
Save lost sinners, every one
Who will believe on Christ the Son.
Then God raised Him from the dead
To make His Son the living Head;
The living Christ on heaven’s throne
Is interceding for His own.
Because Christ lives and intercedes
God supplies the Christian’s needs.
Because Christ’s there within the vail,
The Christian’s anchor cannot fail.
When you know what God has done
Why do you reject His Son,
Despise His grace and spurn His love,
And miss a home in heaven above?
Believe God’s Word, accept God’s way;
‘Tis worse than folly to delay.
Christ will save you from your sin
And give you joy and peace within.
And then from condemnation free
A Merry Christmas yours will be.
When you yourself have thus been freed
You will believe man’s greatest need,
In this world so filled with strife,
Is God’s free gift-eternal life.
And all who take what God will give
Shall with Christ forever live.
