Raised Up Together

One of the many ways in which God manifests His power is in saving the lost. We all were far from God and living by the flesh, walking according to the course of this world. At that time, Satan had the central place in our lives, yet God, in His great love and mercy, offered to us freely and abundantly so much. God the Son died for us.

Ephesians 2:4-7: “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.”

He “quickened us together,” making us alive in Christ and then, “raised us up together;” positionally we are with Him in glory. One aspect of this is that we are no longer dead, bound for Hell, and without hope. Our new home is to be with God in Heaven, with a new and glorious body, position, and opportunity to function as God designed: “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son.” (Col. 1:13) We were changed or quickened to be spiritually alive to “come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.” (Eph. 4:13) This is a marvelous Truth to meditate upon, yet just the beginning of all God will and is doing.

While we live here on earth, we are enabled to be co-laborers together with God in His spiritual business, with great opportunity to display Christ’s life. We can manifest His great power and wisdom in these earthen vessels, being “the Body of Christ, and members in particular.” (I Cor. 12:27) To do this, God provides fully, giving us all the resources, supplying all our needs, such as His Spirit and the completed, perfected inspired and preserved Word. Scripture powerfully impacts us as we read and study, meditating upon it to yield, desiring to be “led by the Spirit.” (Rom. 8:14)

Think on This: When we dwell upon the storehouse of doctrine in the Word, it will continually renew our mind, transforming our vessel to honor God, empowering us to manifest His glory; now, to those around us and even to the angels (Eph. 3: 9-10), but also into eternity. Glorious!
