Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Oftentimes today, the words ‘seeing,’ ‘see,’ ‘saw,’ ‘sight,’ ‘look,’ and the like, are used in ways to ‘view’ something through the ‘lens’ of another method other than our eyes. We say things like, ‘I see what you are saying,’ or we begin a sentence with, ‘look…’ or end a sentence with, ‘do you see what I mean?’ Our Father knows that the Saint operates upon ‘free will’ to choose the ‘way,’ or ‘wisdom’ in which he will be educated unto. Adam and Eve both went after another wisdom and understanding based upon their heart’s desire, and upon their own discernment. They both “saw” that the tree was “good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise.” But notice that it was “good for food,” but why was it “pleasant to the eyes?” One would think that ‘pleasant to the eyes’ would mean that it ‘looked so good, they just had to taste it.’ But they saw that it was ‘good for food,’ but something being ‘pleasant to the eyes’ goes after something that has benefits for not only their stomach and taste, but that ‘this meaning’ would be ‘seen’ as ‘well pleasing’ unto them for their lives.
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Moreover, they “saw” more than what was ‘right in front of them,’ but they “saw” what the tree would be for them ‘moving forward’ in their lives. Today’s Christian has been given the words of our Father to walk in, and be “subject” unto, but because of the nature of the man, he will either ‘think’ like Adam, or he could be “transformed by the renewing” of his mind. The Saints are given the doctrine in Romans chapter 6 in which our Father would have them to “live” unto Him. And He desires that the ‘see’ the provision that He has made for them 2,000 years ago, and that they ‘see’ what this provision means also for their lives ‘moving forward.’ But this ‘fruit’ that our Father has provided ought to be ‘looked upon’ as ‘good for godly edifying, and pleasant to the eyes, and desired to make one wise’ unto His wisdom and instruction. And Romans chapter 6 asks the question unto the Saints who have the ‘free will’ to choose which wisdom they are going to ‘seek after,’ and which “law” they are going to “live” in moving forward. Paul says:
Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Rom 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Therefore, we too are given to ‘see’ the ‘fruit’ our Father has given unto us, the Saint could “continue in sin,” or he could “live” by “every word of God.” And ‘what’ the Saint ‘sees,’ and ‘looks forward’ unto will be what he will be ‘minding,’ and what he will be ‘walking after’ for the rest of his life as a Saint, unless his mind is “transformed by the renewing” of his mind by the doctrine which is according to godliness. And this “mind of Christ” is not obtained by ‘praying for it,’ or given to some by God, but for some, He will not give this wisdom of understanding. Our walk as Saints is based upon what we ‘view’ as ‘pleasant unto our eyes,’ and whether it will be “good” for us ‘moving forward.’ And that ‘desire’ goes back to Adam and Eve, but it is by the “mercies of God” that we are ‘beseeched’ to ‘see’ His mercies as what is “good,” and “pleasant,” and to be “desired to make one wise.” And it is by our ‘desire’ that choose to “live godly,” this doctrine is given unto those who desire to also labor “with Christ” in the ministry:
2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
And so, Adam made the ‘decision’ to ‘see,’ and ‘look unto’ what was the contrary ‘law’ given unto him. They both ‘decided’ to “mind” the things of the flesh, and not God’s Word, this was not ‘pleasing’ unto God, and neither is it pleasing unto God when Saints today follow “after” the traditions of men in Christianity, and ‘walk’ with an ‘appearance,’ and “form of godliness, but “denying the power thereof.” And there are many who would take offence to someone saying that we as Christians have ‘free will,’ this is because they ‘see’ through the ‘lens’ of their ‘flesh’s desire.’ They assume God’s love for them is tied to THEIR heart’s desires, their worldly endeavors, their goals, their physical well-being. But because they “mind” these things, they also assume that God because loves them, that He also loves what they “mind.” This is not what we are taught by God in HOW we ‘should’ live unto Him. Oftentimes, man doesn’t want to ‘carry the blame’ for his ‘decision’ to walk in ungodliness, he does as Adam and Eve did in the garden when confronted by God. When God asked of them, after “the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked;” “Where art thou?” They both ‘shifted the blame’ unto someone other than themselves. And we too today assume that our walk as Christians will be ‘placed into us’ by God by praying for His will, or by instruction of man, or other methods other than by “every word of God.”
Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Finally, it is said, ‘beauty is in the eyes of the beholder,’ our Father desires “sons and daughters” who ‘see’ the way He sees, and that we know, what is His “good, and acceptable, and perfect will.” And that we ‘see’ His “good” to cleave unto, and what is this world’s “evil” to “abhor.” And when we see things with this “mind,” we will see His Word as “treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” We would not think that it is “foolish” to “look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” But the “natural man” ‘sees’ that type of ‘viewpoint, as foolish, and actually ungodly. He would say, ‘why would a loving father want their children to not have the finer things.’ But the son that desires to “walk after” every Word of God does so based upon how he views and loves the instruction, but most importantly the Instructor. But with that being said, it also will depend upon ‘who’ we desire to “make provision” for, will it be for our flesh, and continue to make provision for it, as we mind it, and walk in the lusts thereof? Or will we make provision for our “inward man” as our Father has, and desires to have a Spiritual relationship with, and desires that we see we are to be “led by” His Word? Our “hope” is based upon what we “see not,” and the “unseen” glory, but this “eyes of our understanding” is viewed by our inward man, he sees what our Father sees, and those who desire to walk as “dear children,” they too see, because they are “followers of God,” and “walk in love, as Christ also.”
Eph 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
