The Rejection Of The Wisdom Of God…But Why?

2nd Tim.4:3] For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

[4] And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

[5] But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

There is a ‘natural thought’ of man, that no man who professes that he is in Christ would outright reject the Word and wisdom of God. And that he would never ‘willingly’ choose his own wisdom over the wisdom of God. But this is what man could ‘unknowingly’ do by the ‘lusts of’ his own heart. And it is after his lusts that he would by his own “vain imaginations” assume that God’s will, His power, His love, and His Word concerns their outward man, and fulfilling the heart’s desires of the man. But man assumes he knows what God is ‘really trying to say’ unto him in the Word of Truth. And it is by man’s own wisdom and heart that he can be “lifted up” with pride, and cause his own condemnation based upon his own imagination of himself.

1st Cor.2:4] And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

[5] That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

[6] Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

Moreover, man could be ‘enticed’ by the wisdom and words of man that cater to the lusts of his flesh. And things like ‘physical healings,’ Godly intervention in physical circumstances, physical blessings, or “signs and wonders,” are things in which entices the flesh and heart of the man. God has not promised these things unto us in this dispensation, it is our inward man only that receives the Grace, and power, and love of God. These are the  “things” that the man has lusted after in worshipping God in the flesh since Adam. And as we see in Genesis 3, it is by the “lusts of the flesh, lusts of the eyes, the pride of life” that the heart and mind of man has desired to go after:

Gen.3:6] And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
[7] And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Furthermore, these “lusts” are after the ‘attributes’ of Satan. His own vain imagination in his own wisdom and beauty assumed that he was God’s wisest, and most beautiful creation, but this is what ‘he thought.’ But God created the Man to be “in His Image,” and “after His Likeness,” not Satan. But by Satan’s own vain imagination, he assumed that he was to be “in His Image,” and “after His Likeness,” this is why he said, “I will be LIKE the most High.” And he “corrupted” his wisdom by reason of his beauty, and by his own heart, he conjured up his own assumption that he had “the heart of God.”

Ezek.28:2] Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

Ezek.28:6] Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;

Therefore, just as God “set” Satan in creation for God’s intended purpose, God also “set” man into creation for His intended purpose. And just as Satan “set” his own heart “as the heart of God,” man also with his own vain imagination has also done the exact same thing. But it is God’s desire that man would be “a man after His own heart,” but this is after Godliness, not after the “way of Cain.” Man was to follow God’s word in truth since He gave Adam instruction in the beginning, Adam was to follow God’s “every Word,” not ‘lean unto his own understanding.’ And just as Satan corrupted his way, so does man, and he too seeks another man to ‘teach’ and corrupt, and then he corrupts his way, and then he in turn ‘seeks out’ more men to “entice,” and teach. And this “subtle” way the man uses today is in a counterfeit way of godliness, and a counterfeit way of the word of Truth.

Acts 20:28] Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

[29] For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

[30] Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

And since Adam, man has unfortunately and unknowingly rejected the wisdom of God, but this all after the attributes of Satan in the lusts of the flesh, lusts of the eyes, and the pride of life. God has designed  that the man to be after His Image and in His likeness, and that they would be “one,” and of the same Godly mind, and walk by one Godly Word. But it has been Satan’s goal to cause divisions in the Body of His Believers throughout time. And it has also been the men of this world who also have set their heart as the heart of God, ‘according to’ their own lusts and vain imagination. And as Satan corrupted his way, and went after Adam and Eve, man also gets deceived, and desires now to teach his wisdom ‘in beauty’ unto others, and this continued rejection of God’s wisdom follows what the man has evolved unto today as Paul taught when he said:

“they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers.”

Col.2:4] And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.

[5] For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

[6] As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

[7] Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

[8] Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
