Grace Recovery

If you keep struggling with life’s troubles, worry, stress, anxiety, anger, drugs, drinking….

If you are saved by understanding the gospel:

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Now we can look at the first (Knowing) that God wants you to know, that you can stop the worry, stress, anxiety, anger, drugs, drinking….

Just as Salvation takes knowledge and believing that knowledge that comes from God.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Growing in Grace takes knowing what God says, then believing what God says through his Word, the King James Bible.

Colossians 2:6-7 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the LORD, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Satan is very crafty in trying to get the saints to live and act like the world. Robbing us from that resurrected life that we have in Christ.

2 Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

What we need to know here is that we have a new Identity.

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

As a lost person, we were in Adam, in a dead man.

Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Being in a dead man, we had the love of this world inside of us, which works death in our members.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Jesus Christ has freed us from the dead man by dying our death on the cross, and when we placed our Faith on him, Jesus Christ took us out of Adam. Then he baptized us or placed us into the Body of Christ, making us one with him. No more can we say we are the sin that was our favorite, but now we are the Body of Christ.

Romans 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

God no more see’s you in Adam: “a liar, thief, alcoholic…”, but God now see’s you in Christ- pure righteousness. You must see yourself also in Christ and not in Adam to live out your new identity in Christ. Anytime you act like Adam, you are taking on Identity Theft! To live in Christ takes knowledge because it’s Christ living in us, not us working but Christ working through us.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

There are three things that must happen:

1. We have to KNOW what God wants us to know.

Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

2. We must reckon or believe what God wants us to know.

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our LORD.

3. We must yield to what God says so God can produce.

Romans 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

In Christ,
