Grace Recovery

If you keep struggling with life’s troubles, worry, stress, anxiety, anger, drugs, drinking….

The Bible has the answer to your problem.

The next Knowing is in:

Romans 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

You are not under the law because you are dead to the law

Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Not only are we dead to the law, we are delivered from the law.

Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

The law has no power over us, we learned in Romans 6 that we have a new identity In Christ!

Now in Romans 7 we see that we have a new program – Grace.

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

God had to make us “dead to the law” and deliver us from it in order for our position “in Christ” to be put into practice, because the law is not designed to allow one to bring forth fruit unto God.

Romans 7:1-6 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. 4Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. 5For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. 6But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

There are many Law points and we are not under any of them.

Law of commandments

Law of Food

Law of days

Law of prayer

Law of cursings and blessings

The laws were there to bring wrath, not Grace.

Romans 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

The Law says something to those under the Law, It tells them they are guilty before God.

Romans 3:19-20 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Grace says you have peace with God.

Romans 5:1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

After you are saved, if you try to please God with the Law you will always feel guilty before God, even though you are at peace with God.

Romans 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

Christ has given us his mind, therefore we can serve the (law of God) Which is the law of faith!

Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Romans 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
