Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The question is; What Are the “Wiles of the Devil,” and if we don’t know what they are, how do we know if we have fallen victim to them? And what is the objective of the wiles of the devil, and to ‘whom’ are these ‘wiles’ targeted? And as we see in Ephesians Chapter 6, verses 10-17, it is the Word of God that is designed for the son so that he can be “strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.” And because that is the case, and the whole truth; Satan has a designed way, or ‘wile’ to work contrary against what God is doing, and what His Word says. We (the saints who desire to be educated by our Father) are in a “spiritual’ fight with “the rulers of the darkness of this world,” they too have a bible in hand, their deception is going to sound ‘like’ the truth, it’s going to have a look ‘like’ the truth, but it will be “spiritual wickedness” of the men of this world just the same.
So, what are the “wiles of the devil?” We will see that they are designed to:
- To counterfeit The Word of God
- To counterfeit The Will Of God
And that is to teach that a man can produce his own salvation from the debt and penalty of Sin. And when he sins (and he will), that he no longer possesses “the gift” given to him by God. (Justification unto eternal life) Also, To change, or deceive man into thinking that God is saying something, that He is not saying at all.
Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Gen 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Satan has set out to counterfeit the word of God since the beginning, and to change the truth of God into a lie, and turn the truth, and the Light of God into darkness.
Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Counterfeiting the Will of God consists of the course that Satan has the man on today, and he desires that the men of this world ‘walk’ according to his way, his life, and his will.
Eph 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Eph 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Eph 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Eph 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
Eph 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
2Ti 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
