“Let This Mind Be In You Which Was Also In Christ Jesus”

on

Phil.2:2] Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
[3] Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
[4] Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
[5] Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

One of the vital components to our walking in godliness consists of the Saint thinking ‘like’ God does, and this is accomplished by the Saint operating upon the Holy Word of God. In Romans Chapter 12:2-3, the Saints are taught to “renew” their minds according to His Word, and be “transformed” by the Word of God. This Godly instruction in verses 2, and 3, teaches the Saints how to “think,” and how to no longer “think.” And operating upon godliness consists of the Saint being the “living sacrifice” as mentioned in Romans 12:1, and our Father has provided for us the renewing doctrine whereby our minds are educated after His Word, this is what it means to be “Spiritually minded.”

Rom.12:[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
[3] For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Moreover, the Saint who had a Spiritual mind, will “walk after,” and be “led by,” and be “filled with” God’s Word, the Saint’s ‘thinking’ will be governed by the Word of God in all his decisions, and actions, just like he has done as being taught by this world. But when the Saint operates upon a Spiritual mind, he is operating upon a renewed mind, and most importantly, he is operating upon the “mind of Christ.“

Rom 8:4  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Rom 8:5  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Rom 8:6  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Rom 8:7  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Rom 8:8  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

And just as God the Father was “well pleased” with His own Son, the Saint operating upon a Spiritual mind will also be well pleasing unto the Father. And our Father desires that the Saints possess the “mind of Christ,” this is the vital component to being “conformed to the Image of His Son.” This is the only way the Saints can “discern,” and “judge” the things that he may face in his Sanctified life, and we are taught by the Holy Ghost’s doctrine how to Spiritually “think” like our Father would have is to think, and that is what having the “mind of Christ” as all about.

1Co 2:12  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

1Co 2:13  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

1Co 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1Co 2:15  But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

1Co 2:16  For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Finally, we have already “received” the “spirit which is of God;” and that is God’s own Holy Word, we find in our bibles the sanctifying doctrines to live by given to us, so that we will know “the mind of the Lord.” And the mature son in Christ is “likeminded” with Christ, he operates with “one mind and one mouth” according to the will of God. And also, “he that is spiritual judgeth all things” of this life “according to Christ Jesus,” and ought to know the Spiritual things of our Father that are already given unto us, and are according to His Word, and His Will. And it is by His selfless love, and by the mind “which was also in Christ Jesus,” that we will be transformed by the renewing of our minds, and are not conformed to this world, but “conformed to the Image of His Son,” and our decisions, and judgments would be done with selfless equity upon the details of our sanctified lives, and our godly living would be now governed by “the mind of Christ” now working in our minds, and the things we do would now be “according to Christ Jesus,” and how He would do those things, and this Spiritual mind is ‘well pleasing’ in our Father’s sight as those who are being conformed to the image of His Son.

Rom.15:5] Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
[6] That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
