Ephesians 6:10-13 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to STAND.”
Our capacity to stand and to maintain stability in our spiritual warfare is found, not in our personal resources, but through an acknowledged dependence on God’s supply of Grace, and an understanding of three things. These three things are prerequisites for putting on the armour of God and being able to stand.
- Understanding Who you are IN Christ (Identity). “WHO you are will always determine HOW you are.”
(Ref. Romans 3:24-26, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Galatians 2:16, Ephesians 1:4,13, Colossians 1:13, 2:10)
- Understanding God’s eternal purpose for Himself, in Heaven and Earth.
(Ref. Ephesians 1:10-11, 3:9-10)
- Understanding the enabling Power for standing.
(Romans 6:14, 7:6, 8:1-4, 8:8-11, Philippians 3:9-1)
As you grow in that form of doctrine for the Body of Christ, progressing in spiritual maturity (what Paul calls a perfect man) you are able to stand as credible, living proof to too what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. Such maturity testifies to principalities and powers, NOW, of the manifold wisdom of God.
Do you see what you are part of, beloved?
