Man has a burning desire to know and to make known. To be “in the loop” and keeping people “in the loop” can lead to much ungodliness. Whispering, backbiting, and gossiping are some sins of knowledge. These abuse wanting to know and make known. Yet, desiring to know and to make known isn’t the issue. God has made us in His image, after His likeness; therefore, we are to know and make known. Therefore, coming to knowledge and making known is natural and necessary for God’s relationship with man and our relationship with one another; however, the problem is what is known and what it is we are making known.
THE LIE
Satan is the father and author of the lie (Jn 8:44). The lie makes chaos and confusion veiling the masses in darkness. The lie blinds others to believe and know that which is error and false. The lie is durable being able to dodge about the truth without ever touching it, yet resemble it. The lie can add, take away, change, or twist the truth. We understand this from the beguiling serpent in the garden (Genesis 3:1ff).
DARKNESS
Satan as the father of the lie preys upon the dichotomy of man’s condition. Man is made in the image of God, after His likeness, yet with sin and flesh. He employs his wiles to snare God’s creatures that are made lower than him, but crowned with glory; that is, granted the honor to possess dominion. Thus, the lie works toward his plan of evil to maintain that dominion he usurped from man. As man accepts, embraces, and cheers the lie man remains subservient to God’s adversary, thus possessed, owned, and ruled by Satan. The lie is constructed to rob, kill, and destroy if not adopted and embraced. The darkness of the lie is as a heavy fog, that which constrains the sight of one’s own footsteps, of the weary travel in uncharted territory headed straight for the cliff in which the fall will not be survived. Thus Satan maintains his dark grip by his lie leading about those whom know nothing else; whom, in fact, in ignorance proclaim it as light. Of course, it isn’t until the penetrating light of the gospel until one understands the devils tactics, are enlightened, and can walk in light. Yet, Satan will even use light to blind those once enlightened to lead them to the travail of his wickedness. For every move God has, Satan has a countermove, albeit ultimately to his demise.
MOVEABLE WAYS
Satan’s ways of dark wisdom are moveable. They prevent God’s sons and daughters to ponder the path of life (Pro. 5:6). Truth is fixed and absolute. Wherefore, it is no surprise that darkness is mobile, portable, and changeable. Darkness will exhaust all its’ abilities to blind, confuse, intrigue, and entice. These lengths are in place to keep hold of its subjects. Darkness will proclaim the impossibility of knowing the very thing it is dependent upon – truth. Darkness is deployed to be felt (Ex. 10:21) and get you to be past feeling (Eph. 4:17-19). With all of darkness’ moveable ways there is one objective, to keep you in the dark and remain inoperable for God’s purpose for and with the light of truth and remain an operative for Satan’s objectives. Darkness is subtle. For with its depth and durability it has the ironic capability to give one the sense of light and truth while still remaining in darkness.
“…If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” (Matt. 6:23b)
KNOWING EVIL
Space doesn’t allow to give great detail upon these tactics, but this specific one has gotten the advantage of many believers. For sake of brevity, I will describe one facet up darkness’ greatness; that is, the light of knowing evil – the truth of evil. Knowledge can be light when it comes from God alone. Knowledge granted by the world has its origins in darkness forged for the perpetuation of its course. Yet, darkness has its secrets and mysteries. Such secrets are many, deep, and broad. Her moveable ways have claimed the time of both sons and daughters of God. She cloaks this way in righteousness, but leads to bitterness. Her mouth is smooth and sweet demanding the discretion of God’s sons and daughters. Discretion not simply to identify her ways, but altogether this particular way of hers. She has snared many with her ways, getting many to look and behold with intrigue. Her path is to have you discern her ways as good and evil. However, her ways, “thou canst not know them” (Pro. 5:6) making you always want more, “for if I can know a little more I will know it all.” This tactic was learned by her husband that beguiling serpent in the garden. Eve saw that forbidden fruit was to be “desired” for such a noble cause, that is, to be like God and know good and evil. No! The son and daughter must not discern between her good and evil ways, but from this way of hers’ altogether.
SIMPLE CONCERNING EVIL
In turn we are to be simple concerning evil. We are to know evil as far as our Father teaches it. Our Father has granted sufficient wisdom and understanding to recognize evil with its moveable ways, not by tit-for-tat understanding of her ways, but by the immoveable, absolute truth. From such high ground we are able to detect, when needed, those ways that come against “the way” we are going. Brothers and sisters, we must not swerve, get distracted, or turn aside. Rather, we are to avoid, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away from darkness, the lie, evil, and their father the Devil.
CONSPIRACY THEORIES
Frankly, conspiracy theories are one channel of this darkness that covers the light of the believer. Conspiracy theories are theory, working like false prophets who claim some good will happen here or there, now or then. The enticement: good that will happen against the evil that is being done. The evil is being exposed by good players and the world is being awakened. The greatness of this darkness is that conspiracy theories are absent of Christ. Sure they may claim to be identified with Christ and God but the light of the glorious gospel in the face of Jesus Christ isn’t shining forth. Instead, much of the so-called good being done is being done by those that are enemies of God. Maybe they are not enemies of the people and against the evil being done in the world, but they are the enemies of Christ. At best we cannot tell because many don’t profess Christ and many aren’t asked about Him. Too many Christians have followed these detailed-knowers-of-evil and have left Christ behind. These prophets, of a sort, are steeped in knowing evil and promising good apart from Christ. Moreover, the good promised is earthly good, “for God knows we are due for some!”
Furthermore, many who do know what God is doing today, how He operates, His message have abandoned such sound doctrine for the substitute of researchers and theorists. These moveable ways toss them to and fro looking for the next theory. I don’t reject that these theories have fragments of truth, but circumstantial truth. This kind of circumstantial truth isn’t what we Christian’s are to be simply concerned with. Rather, we are concerned preeminently with “THE TRUTH” – Jesus Christ. Instead, these theories allow the Christian to escape the responsibility of learning the truth of God’s Word, beseeching the world to be reconciled to God, edifying the church, and being careful to maintain good works.
GOD’S SECRET, MYSTERIES, THE MYSTERY
Nevertheless, scripture declares,
“The secret of the LORD is with them that fear Him….” (Ps. 25:14a)
Israel was told where to abide,
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” (Ps. 91:1)
And that,
“For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but His secret is with the righteous.” (Pro. 3:32)
God’s secret is with the righteous. Today, they are those that have trusted the redemption found in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins. Surely, God has revealed the mystery of Christ which was hid in God before the foundation of the world. Such a mystery that if the princes of the world would have known it they would not have crucified our Lord of glory. Surely, in Christ are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Beloved, what we need to do is spend that wasteful time in theories and to read and study God’s Word, then go prove it. As far as every secret thing in which God tells us we canst not know – God will take care of.
“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” (Ecc. 12:14)
“In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.” (Rom. 2:16)
So listen world, Christian and non-Christian alike. Let me tell you a secret Satan doesn’t want you to know that is truth. I claim it to be one of the biggest cover ups of all-time. The history of which goes beyond the last one hundred years. He has you distracted and blinded by all the turmoil taking place in the world. Blinded by the prospect of good from conspiracy theories. Why would he do that? He doesn’t solely want your allegiance, no. He is greedy, he wants your soul with him in the lake of fire forever. Your so foolish to be caught up in the prospect and hope of some temporary good by trusting some man instead of trusting the only mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus who died on the Cross to pay the debt and penalty of your sins. The lie is to have you think that God is so loving He will not judge your sin. The lie is to have you think Christ didn’t come to pay the debt and penalty of your sins. The lie is to have you think that salvation is a gift of God to be received by faith and faith alone. Your real salvation isn’t in the good outcome of this life from all its evil, but from God’s judgment against your sins. Believe and be saved! Truly, God’s secret is with the righteous. Know His things! To my dear brothers and sisters in Christ be ye steadfast, immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing your labor is not in vain in the Lord. Do not take for granted the deposit of the deep things of God that have been revealed and written on the pages of His Word.
Look Up,
