The redemption God the Father has the apostle Paul mention in Ephesians 1:7 is not redemption from man to man; but rather, the redemption of the soul to God. The price for the soul is precious. The ransom must meet the justice of Almighty God. The price for man ceaseth forever. The price of the ransom isn’t stipulated by the one to whom a man is sold. The price of the ransom isn’t stipulated by our new father the devil, albeit he was given the power of death, but no longer possesses its power, although we die. The ransom price is set by the holiness and righteousness of God. The ransom to be met for redemption is infinitely greater than what man could imagine, or the devil could stipulate. Man is in a grave predicament. Not only is man going to experience eternal punishment from the presence of God, but they can do nothing to change their eternal lot. Only man or one kin to man can redeem, yet no man possesses the riches to ransom the soul of another, let alone provide for the redemption of all to justify many. The price would be a perfect man in perfect love to be perfectly humbled to death. Such sacrifice would pacify the justice of God. Such sacrifice would satisfy His just requirements, and be perfectly paid for, so that He may justify the one that believes in the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Man is subject to vanity being under the bondage of corruption and sold under sin without hope, alienated from the life of God because of their own ignorance helped by the blinding ministry of the god of this world. Yet, the great Light of the world hath come. He has enlightened the world to His Father’s righteousness and man’s bondage to sin. Moreover, He was given by the Father, commended by love to be made sin, who knew no sin, for us when He made Himself of no reputation and became obedient as a servant unto death, even the death of the Cross that we may be made the righteousness of God in Him. Righteousness without works is gift enough but receiving the adoption of sons from the blessed Father to be blessed with all spiritual blessings. A wealth untold not of earthly treasure but the divine treasure is now ours.
The redemption in Christ Jesus of which we are justified is all by the riches of His grace. The adoption by Jesus Christ which will be shown to us is because of the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness. The redemption of our soul is the deposit of our inheritance by which the Spirit of God seals us. Therefore, the redemption of our soul is as sure as the glory of His grace we will experience in the life to come. Thus, we possess the greatest hope and ought to have the utmost confidence from, by, and because of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The redemption through Christ’s blood meets the legal demands of God’s justice so that He can lavish upon us a manner of love not known by man. With Christ’s redemptive work God is free to extend all grace to us, instead of wrath; to abound in grace toward us, instead of law – to work all things after the counsel of His own will. The redemption we possess through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ yields to God His inheritance of us, as the Father becomes the source of our inheritance.
Praise be to God for this unspeakable gift, that we speak of, and will forever be to the praise and glory of!
